ORA's Red Planet made a big splash several years ago and remains a staple in the acro enthusiasts collection. The color and growth reminds me of Acropora hyacinthus. One notable difference is the green coloration that develops at the base of the colony. The coral also displays a vivid sheen that pops, particularly under higher kelvin lamps.
RCA has acquired a small colony from a local grower. This colony has been growing under 165W "Black Box" LED's at approximately 15" of depth. This image shows the colony under 400w Radium 20k lamps. Customers should expect hearty frags under $50 range to release sometime in February 2015.
